At the moment I have all I need—and more! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God. Philippians 4:18

Another great blessing is the gift of smell. I don’t always think of it as a blessings, but it is.
We had rain last night. The smell of the earth is wonderful this morning, a dampness that only comes from rain.
I also love to play in the dirt. Some people call it yard work, for me it’s yard play. To dig a hole, turning the soil, oh, the smell is so wonderful to me. I could dig a hole just for the fun of it!
Smelling my flowers, the soft fragrance is so soothing.
Smelling fresh baked cookies, another delight.
I could go on and on, but, you get the idea.
On the other hand there are things that don’t smell so good. Those I could do without.
I do enjoy the smells of the earth!

Good morning Jesus!
You are so good to me, to bring my blessings to my mind and help me to focus on them.
I do enjoy the wonderful things You have created and their smells. I’m sure they are a sweet smelling scent to You. A tribute to Your creation.
While I’m enjoying these blessings, help me to remember to focus on my Creator, the giver of all things good. For it is to You I want to center my life on. I love You so very much, I know I say that often, but You are the love of my life!
