December 25

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Romans 1:16-17

Bethlehem Newspaper

Good news! According to the information just received from Bethlehem, there is a baby just born. He is understood to be the power of God at work. It is said that everyone who believes will be given the right to stand before God. What an amazing story! God has declared that if we will believe and trust that this baby is from Him, He will give us the right to come before Him. What a good and gracious God we have. Before this baby came, we didn’t have any right to be before the Creator because of our sin. Now He tells us this child, believing in this child, knowing this child is His, and through this child, we are now welcomed back into His throne room. Let us sing and dance for joy at the opportunity of this lifetime event.

Jesus, thank You for coming into my life, for being the reason that I move and live and exist. You are my salvation!   Amen.

Twenty-Fifth-Day Activities

Bring the wise men to the stable this morning. It is this morning that they will see the newborn King and worship Him. Do you think they talked about what they had seen on their way home? What do you think they told their families and friends when they got home? Talk to your children about worship and how they can worship Jesus. Encourage your children to talk to others about Jesus’s birth. Even the youngest of children will be excited to share with a grandparent about Jesus.

If you don’t already have this tradition, maybe this year would be a good time to start. Do you have a birthday cake for Jesus? Children love birthday parties. You could build a portion of your day having this party for Jesus. Just one catch: you have to invite Him. Be sure to light a candle on the cake and sing to Him.

If you have older children, you might want to check into serving Christmas dinner at one of the shelters in town. This would be a great way to introduce your family to giving to those in need in a personal way.

I am a mother of 2 and grandmother of 4. I love my Jesus and wish to share Him with anyone who would listen. My family and my LORD are the joys of my heart!
