But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past.
Micah 5:2 NLT
Have you ever felt you were insignificant and very useless? You need to remember that God has designed you for a very specific work. No one else can complete this work like you would. You may think your Kingdom work in this world is small or insignificant or it is the work that no one else may see or know about.
When you feel this way, it is important to claim God’s word and remember that no one is too small or insignificant. If He can take a small town and placed it on the map by giving Jesus birth there, God will take whatever Your gift for the kingdom may be and glorify Himself there also. No one is too small or useless in the eyes of our God!
For our LORD, it’s the people that He prizes, not what we can do or even what we might be able to bring to Him. He adores your presence. He delights in His relationship with You. Never think that you are too insignificant in His eyes.
Do you have the feeling that you’re not doing enough for the Kingdom? Are you unsure where you should be serving?
Before you struggle with the question, are you doing enough for the King?, why not stop and just be with the King. Read His Word, pray, sit at His feet and learn from His teachings.
If you are not already in a study group or small group, why not find one or start one! Even though our walk with Jesus is personal, He gave us a community to help us learn and grow. He has never intended for us to walk alone.
So spend some time in prayer and ask God to give you His direction. Ask Him to reveal Your Spiritual gift, be patient for this gift to develop and then take joy as You serve Him with Your life.
You may feel insignificant in your eyes, but just remember, it’s God’s eyes that count!
Thank You Jesus, for being my LORD.
Just knowing that You are at work in my life gives me the confidence to continue on. Whatever I do or say, I will do it for You. My heart is Yours and I am excited to know what my future in You holds. You, Jesus, gives my heart it’s reason to beat and my spirit to soar. I love you LORD, with the joy of my soul! Amen.
