My God For Life!

I will be your God throughout your lifetime–until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. Isaiah 46: 4 NLT

Think about it, the God of the Universe desires to have a close, personal relationship with you for your lifetime. It’s just not a relationship for Sundays or special days, it’s a relationship that includes your whole life, it’s for all your life.

Psalms 139:13 tells us He knitted us together in our mother’s womb. God made all our parts and He will be with us until our hair is white with age. That means all the in-betweens with Him also.

When we are dating He would like to spend time with you and your friend.

When we marry and have children, He will be with us.
As we raise them to become independent adults, He will be with us.

When we become grandparents and enjoy our children and grandchildren, He will be with us.

Even when the hearing and sight begin to fade, when the body doesn’t work like it should, He will be our God. He will carry us, not just when we’re tired, broken or old, but all the time.

Yet the most precious act He ever did for us was when He save us for an eternity of living with Him!

Have you asked Jesus to be your God for life? Is there an area in your life that you’re a bit reluctant to let Him in? We all have those areas and what is so great about our LORD is the fact that it’s a lifetime journey! He doesn’t expect perfection, He desires obedience.

I would encourage you today to spend some time with Him and ask where a door needs to be opened. Let Him sweep out the corners of your room and spruce it up. He will let in the fresh air of His Spirit and set everything to right.

Even when we mess up again, He’s right there to help us clean up. He is a dedicated and persistent God and He loves you with a passion!

Best part? He really doesn’t care about the color of your hair!

Thank you, my LORD,
For all You do for me. For carrying me when I can’t go on, for flying with me when I can’t contain my joy, for loving me even though I am so flawed. Thank You my Jesus for taking away my flaws so I can stand before my King, righteous in His sight because of You. I am so blessed to be called Your child.
Amen
