Joshua 6:15

“But LORD,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!”

Morning my precious Jesus!
What delight I take in Your Word. You are the master Teacher and know just when to show me Your Wisdom!

I’m reading in Judges as You know. Chapter 6 has given me so much insight and I’m so excited to share it with You!

Gideon was concerned with what God was calling him to do. He was supposed to rescue Israel. His thoughts were that his clan was the weakest in the tribe of Manasseh and he was the least in his entire family! His biggest statement: was who am I that You would have faith in me?

How often, Jesus, have I said that to myself over the years. I’m a 73 year old great-grandmother with structural damage to the body! What could I do for You?

You often chose the weak and lowly in the New Testament for people to proclaim Your Word. They would listen to Your call and obey. You didn’t come to interact with the highly educated or those of great power. You came for everyday people like me.

I do still have a place to fulfill Your calling to me. I can still share You with the world, just like this prayer.

Do you know how uplifting this to me, Jesus! And it’s because You lead me to Gideon. Thank You for being my LORD, Teacher and Guide. I truly to adore and love You!
Amen
