Good Morning Jesus!
We’re well into the holidays now and I am enjoying Your presence more than I ever have before. I know You are walking with me and guiding my feet. I know You are the light in my heart and I praise You for being my LORD.
Jesus, as the days go on, please help me. I don’t want to place myself in the way of temptation. With being at home so much more this year, I thought I was hidden from temptation. But I find it still comes knocking in the form of internet shopping, it’s so easy! Then there are the chocolates for my daughter, she wouldn’t know if some are missing, would she? Why am I being so tempted?
And I thought I was being confident in You but I realize it’s only been confidence in myself. Your Word this morning reminded me I am not above temptation and I can’t face it alone.
Today, when temptations of the holidays come, help me to look to You. You are so much greater and stronger than what I can face in this world. Help me to remember that and to build on my God-confidence!
