And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fiancée, who was now obviously pregnant.
Good Morning Jesus!
The day I celebrate Your birth is getting closer! How special it is for me to honor You at this time of year. I would like to honor You this way all year long.
As I read Your Word today, I’m trying to feel what Your earthly parents were feeling. Were they frustrated at having to travel with Your mom so close to her time? Did they ever feel like they had been abandoned and left on their own? Did they fully understand what was about to happen?
I guess, Jesus, I’m in the same situation at times in my life, as they were in theirs. There are times in my walk with You, I get frustrated with the path that You are leading me on. I feel like You have forgotten me, I just don’t understand what You’re doing. Please forgive me for my doubt and lack of trust, Jesus. I want so much to walk in faith towards You. I want to trust that You have nothing but my best interest in mind and You are leading me there. I want to proclaim today that You are my God, and as Your parents did, walk in this world to glorify You!
Amen
