But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
Morning Father,
Thank You for the wonderful rest last night and for this day You have made, I want to be glad and rejoice in it!
Your Word this morning tells me I’m not supposed to look at outward appearances and judge people. But this culture has put so much stock in our outside appearances, LORD, it’s hard for me to look deeper into people. I know it’s wrong and I want to change the way I think. Please forgive me for my judgmental thinking. Help me to remember this verse today and search for You inside the people I meet. Surprise me with their inner spirit and break my ways of judging.
On the other hand I thank you, Father, for seeing my heart, as my outward appearance is not always pleasing. My spirit wants to please You but the flesh doesn’t always go along.
Thank you for the hidden gems that are inside each one of Your children.
