Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.

Good Morning Jesus,
I love You so very much. You are always the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. You are so steadfast and faithful and I am so glad I can come to You.

I seem to be a grumpy goo this morning, LORD. I know I’m not always up and cheerful, but this is just not going to be a good day. All I can seem to see is the negative, it doesn’t look like there can be a silver lining to any of the clouds.

Please forgive me for my attitude this morning. Let me sit with You and be washed in Your presence. Please give me Your vision for the day and take joy in that. Remind me to look for You, I know I will find You even with my frame of mind.

However, Jesus, I want more than that, I want to have a cheerful heart, even in spite of my circumstances. I want to be good medicine to those I meet today. I can only do that through Your Spirit and love.

How wonderful You are to let me unload on Your shoulders this morning. After telling You how I was feeling, my joy for the day returns. Whatever will come, I know You are right here with me, pouring Your good medicine into my soul!

I love You!
Amen
