Guard me as you would guard Your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.
Good Morning Jesus,
The morning is new and fresh and I am with You. You kept me safe through the night and woke me with the light. I am always in awe with Your care.
This world is full of traps and evil, LORD. The traps are so well concealed and they look so good, I can fall in before I even realize what they are. I need Your discernment to navigate through life. Please help me to see before I step and call on You every moment for direction.
Your Word describes how I need to be hidden in the shadow of Your wings. Those are words I can visualize. A mother bird draws her young close to her body and spreads her wings to keep them safe and dry.
You also, draw me close to Your body, so I can hear Your heartbeat. You spread Your wings over me, so I am protected, warm and dry. Through the day, Jesus, I want to snuggle in closer and know Your warmth and love. I thank You for all You are!
