Deuteronomy 10:20-21

You must fear the Lord your God and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in his name alone. He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.

Good morning my Jesus!
Thank you for waking me this morning with Your beautiful sunrise. Your glory shines and warms my heart. I praise You for helping me to set this time aside.

I just love Your Word this morning. The thought of clinging to You is wonderful. I think of clothing coming out of the dryer with static electricity. There are pieces that just won’t come apart, I can shake the clothing all I want, but they just cling together. They have to be physically pulled apart. But then, when they get too close again, they are plastered together.

I want to cling to You like that. If I get pulled away, I want to be drawn back to You. I want to stay so close, nothing will shake me away.

I want to take on Your shape and love the world with Your love today.

Not only do You want me to cling to You, I will acknowledge all day long that You are my God and You are the only one who is worthy of my praise. As I worship You, I will lift Your holy name on high and proclaim how wonderful You are!

This is the day that You have made and I will be glad and rejoice in it!
Amen
