Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

As we have been together over the last few weeks, did you realize you were becoming Jesus’ disciple? You have sat at His feet, walked down the road of life and journeyed to the cross with Him.

What have you learned from living with Jesus? Why not write in your journal some of your high points and don’t forget the low points. For it is in those low points that we will really learn to trust Him. And being able to read about them at a future low point will help you to remember, He is trustworthy for the all times.

I pray that you will continue to walk with Jesus each day. I know it’s hard to be with Him, as life so often gets in the way. Yet, when you make a covenant to pray, to be in His Word and presence every day, you will be blessed beyond your greatest expectations. You will miss some days and that’s okay. Please don’t beat up on yourselves when it happens. It will only remind you that you’re human. Just try again the next day.

As our scripture tells us today, Jesus told his disciples, that’s you and me, to go out to everyone, not just our family and friends, but to those on the streets, in the grocery stores, on the golf courses, and tell them about Jesus’s love and compassion for them. You don’t have to have a Phd. or be a great speaker. All you need is your Jesus. Let the Spirit fill you with His Words. Tell them what He has done for you, where you have seen Him at work in your own life and invite them to come with you to church or your small group. Together you will be able to grow and become strong in His Word.

Become an encourager. Look for Jesus working in others lives and get excited for them.

Be in prayer always, not only for yourself, but for others. Talk to Jesus about your desires and burdens. He is your personal Counselor and has a passion to help you.

It has been an honor and privilege to be with you for this time of refreshment and renewal. I will be praying for you to continue to walk with your Savior.

Our Precious Jesus,
What honor You have poured into our lives when You came to live with us. We are always amazed at the sacrifice You gave, Your life. Your passion to be with us is incomprehensible. We are so unworthy of Your love, yet we live in the joy that You do love us.

I praise You Jesus, for those who have been following You this season. I ask that You will continue to strengthen them. Please give them Your wisdom and insights to Your Word. I ask that Your Spirit be poured into them and they will become Your special disciples in their part of this world.

Surround them, Jesus, and give them their purpose. Please give them the joy of their lives!
In Your Wonderful Name, Amen
