Psalm 23:4

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me.

Morning Jesus!
Thank You for the sunshine. We’ve had the cloudy, rainy days which I have totally enjoyed. But it’s always nice to see Your sun. 

You know I’ve had dark days in my life, we all do. In other translations it says ‘death’, which I always thought of as the physical kind. You’ve taught me that there are other ‘deaths’ that I have to contend with. Loss of a dream, loss of being able to do what I used to be able to, loss of loved ones. 

Yet, you have proven time and again that You are with me. You are protecting me with Your rod as I walk through these times. Your staff is constantly in position to pull me back when I loose my way. Your comfort is beyond any words I can utter.

You’ve also told me that when I have to walk through these dark valleys, I need to listen to my Shepherd’s voice and follow. You know the way and even more You know what’s on the other side of the valley. You are the good and perfect Savior and I love You!
