You are my friends if you do what I command.
Morning Jesus!
Even though the sky isn’t brilliant blue and the temperature is quite warm, it’s a beautiful day. You made it! And, have I told You lately just how much I love You? I don’t think I could say it enough. I’m so glad You can know my heart and see the depth of my love!
I want to thank You for the friends You have placed in my life. I am always amazed at how they stand beside me, giving me encouragement and a desire to keep on going. Each and every one of them are amazing!
Then You tell me, Jesus, that I am Your friend! Imagine, a friend of the King of the Universe! My brain just can’t absorb it all. How blessed I am.
But I also reminded that friendship is a two way street, it goes both ways. And, that Jesus, is the heart of my concern. You stated that You are my friend, You are good, giving me time and attention and all that I need to exist. Am I being a good friend to You? I don’t think I always am. I don’t give You the time You ask for. I don’t always listen to Your commands and worse, not do them. Please forgive me.
Strengthen me to be a better friend to You and all those who You have placed around me. Show me where I can give more than I take. Help me to strengthen my relationship with You, I will never be worthy to be Your friend, yet, I sure will enjoy working on this friendship with You.
