There was a small town with only a few people, and a great king came with his army and besieged it. A poor, wise man knew how to save the town, and so it was rescued. But afterward no one thought to thank him.
Good Morning Jesus,
What peace there is for the day, when I start my day with You! I love waking up and knowing that You are waiting to give me a treasure in Your Word each day. I only have to look. I love these moments that we have our cuddle time.
Your Word this morning really stopped me. It seems like the end of Ecclesiastes is such a downer. He talks so much about no hope. Yet, You placed this verse right here and talked about Your hope for the world.
These verses proclaim Your coming. Your people, they were few in number compared to the rest of the world, are being besieged. Your church, though we are few in number compared to the rest of the world, we are being criticized and persecuted.
You my, LORD, came and saved us, You were the wise man in this scripture, You knew how to redeem Your people and save us. You, Jesus, rescued us.
But, how many have thanked You for giving us life? How often do we praise You for our redemption?
I know, Jesus, that I don’t thank You often enough. You are my constant companion and I so often take You for granted. Please forgive me. Please give me an attitude for gratitude and praise You every day. It’s my heart’s desire to live my life to glorify You. I love You, Jesus!
Amen
