Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Good Morning Jesus,
Thank You so much for the rest last night. I guess I was a bit more tired than I thought!
The sun was well up by the time I awoke, and it was already warming Your creation, just as Your Spirit warms my heart.
I just absolutely love Your Word this morning. When I think of my roots growing deep, I imagine my feet in wet sand. As I wiggle my toes, I sink, going deeper, until I hit rock, solid foundation. The sand may feel good, but I also think of it as the muck of this world. But, when I hit that rock foundation, I know I’m standing on You. I won’t be shifted or shaken. Regardless of what the world does around me, I will be able to stand firm because You are there.
I know I am blessed to know You, Jesus. But, I’m always thirsty to know You more, to be in Your presence and proclaim You as my King. As Paul says, I overflow with thankfulness, and I love You!
