You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him and keep His commandments and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
Good Morning My Love!
I know Jesus that this verse was in warning of idolatry. You were giving commands to Your people before they entered the land they were receiving.
Yet, even in this day is’t a warning to me. To be on watch, listen carefully and to cling to Your side.
I love that word ‘cling’. Reminds me of when a sock is stuck to my sweatpants and it has to be pealed off. It’s won’t move on it’s own, I have to physically remove it.
But, when I cling to Your side, You will never remove me. You keep me close and secure.
Another thing You say in this verse is to listen to Your voice. It’s so powerful and true, but sometimes it’s hard for me to hear. I ask You today, Jesus, that You will tune my ears to hear Your voice. I so want to obey.
Thank You so very much for this verse today. It has refreshened my spirit and renewed soul.
