And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—His name alone will be worshiped.
Good Morning Father,
Everyday is so wonderful to wake with Your presence. You nudge me out of bed so I can have time with You. It’s become such a necessity and joy for my spirit. I thank You for helping to shape my life so I can spend these moments with You.
I know Father, I claim I have one God and that One God is You. Yet, I also know that I let little lords creep into my life and threaten my devotion to You. Like the little god of being too busy to spend time with You, another little god is too much time on the computer or tablet. I could go on, but You know which ones I’m thinking about.
Entertainment can be enjoyable and relaxing, but if it takes my time away from Your plan, it can be detrimental. All of my little gods can be seen that way.
So I ask today Father, that You will open my eyes and let me see these little gods in my life. Help me to understand each one and if they should be removed completely or just put in their place. Today is the day that I want to claim there will be one LORD, and Your Name alone will be worshiped in my life!
I love You and thank You for being so patient and caring with me.
