Jonah 3:3–5

This time Jonah obeyed the Lord’s command and went to Nineveh, a city so large that it took three days to see it all. On the day Jonah entered the city, he shouted to the crowds: “Forty days from now Nineveh will be destroyed!” The people of Nineveh believed God’s message, and from the greatest to the least, they declared a fast and put on burlap to show their sorrow.

Morning Jesus!
Thank You for just being You! Your loving kindness You pour into me makes me want to praise and shout for joy!

This morning You lead me to Jonah. I think all of Your children know the story about Johan and the whale, it seems to be a favorite for Sunday schools.

You directed me to later in the story, when Jonah finally followed Your command. He had finally learned You were serious that he deliver the message to the Nineveh. You wanted these people to realize they had sinned and now the time had come to pay the price.

Then I thought of how our country is right now. People seem steeped in sin, they wallow and enjoy their lives away from You. What I saw in Your scriptures was to not give up hope. You stepped into Nineveh at the right time, as You will step into our country at Your right time also.

And now I will praise You for Your work at the Ashbury University and other collage campuses. You have call many, many to come alive in Your Spirit. It’s the flame that can’t be stopped. Thank You my King! Nineveh was renewed, please continue to renew Your people!
I love You, so very much, Jesus!
Amen
